Here at the Galloper, we’ve always believed that Sunday lunch should be special. As part of our role as a community pub, we want Sunday lunch with family and friends to be at the heart of your weekend and a great way to relax before we gear up for the week ahead.
We have been working with our local suppliers to source some of the finest quality joints of meats our region has to offer and as well we’re now offering salt-aged roasts using Lakeland Salt House. The meat is hung in a Himalayan salt wall salt – with humidity and temperature controlled, the result is a joint of exceptional quality.
Every Sunday morning, we slowly roast selected joints in small quantities to ensure the best taste and so it’s always freshly cooked. We then hand-carve it to order OR to make it more of a Sunday occasion, you can pre-order your roast and we’ll serve it whole at your table so you and your guests can carve it for yourselves.
Our beef is at its best when cooked slightly pink (medium-rare), but we know pink beef isn’t to everyone’s liking. If you’d prefer yours cooked more, just let your server know.
If Sunday roast isn’t your choice, of course our regular menu is also available. Booking always recommended!
